Alter Aeon is a free online text game set in a world of swords and sorcery.
It has a huge custom world to explore, quests to complete, and hundreds of puzzles to
solve. There are always other players on-line, whether for help, competition, or just
to talk with. The game is blind-friendly for the visually impaired.

The guide shows how to connect, create a new character, and play through some of the
new player quests. Creating a new character is quick and easy; you'll be playing
the game in no time.
To connect, you can
download one of our custom
game clients, or log into the game using your own client at dentinmud.org,
port 3000.
If you can't download or are on a public terminal, you might be able to log
in with your browser using telnet. The blind player telnet login is at
dentinmud.org port 3010, while the
telnet login for players who can see our ansi title screen can be found at
dentinmud.org port 3002.

What is Alter Aeon?
Alter Aeon is a type of game commonly called a MUD, or Multiple User Dungeon. It similar to an MMORPG and is an on-line environment where different people from all over the world can get together and interact in a huge virtual world. In a lot of ways, this is similar to other online games such as Ultima Online and World of Warcraft.
Advanced and new players are both welcome. New players will find an extensive support structure of Avatars, low level areas and quests specifically designed for newbies, as well as extensive on-line help and FAQs.
There is a place for everyone here. The brave of heart can trek to the edges of the world in search of fortune and fame, and sometimes bring home vast treasures. Those less confident in their abilities can remain in safer or more protected lands, or join up with others to reduce risk. Come test your mettle in the world of Alter Aeon!
