East of the Aztecs is a flat depression of land, white with the salt of
a long dried-up sea.  Legend tells of Q'thelas, the seat of a mighty
Empire that once ruled from upon the flats.  The Aztecs do not seek it,
believing it forever lost to the dark powers.  However, even their
empire is built atop the foundations and ruins of the former, and riches
are to be had not far from the gates of their city.  If such wonders await
nearby, who knows what may lay undisturbed in a more distant, isolated
location...
