The U'ra are the most despised tribe of murlocks in the whole
of Alter Aeon. Larger and fiercer than their more aquatic cousins,
these newt-like marauders once terrorized the southeastern world.
They destroyed Aztec scout parties, Oriental trading expeditions,
divisions of Ubar cavalry, foraging hill trolls, orc war bands and
nomadic janni caravans besides preying on their fellow murlocks.
They enslaved human, janni and murlock alike, forcing them to work
their mines and crops while they constantly waged war with their
neighbors. Wearing little more than shoulder-mounted blades and
leather belts, U'ra blade runners became the most feared warriors
south of the Ash Mountains.

When other murlocks submitted to the Naginag Combine, the U'ra were
conquered and forced to settle around the largest of their gold mines.
The settlement was aptly named Minetown. They are rebellious and
frequently stage coups, refusing to submit to Combine rule. In
response to these rebellions, Minetown was placed under martial law.
Combine heavy mercenaries, mainly jann and hill trolls of the Eighth
Legion, are on riot control duty. Tensions still run high on the
narrow streets, where heavily armored trolls march past U'ra warriors
plotting to overthrow their Combine masters. The mine itself was
closed down a short time ago, but whether the gold dried up or the
rumors of ghosts frightened off willing laborers is not clear.
